"I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you do to provide such an incredible experience for the kids every summer…  It is impossible to imagine a better camp (and year-round experience) anywhere in the country.  I admire you for all the sacrifices you make-dealing with hundreds of children, parents, and employees – to provide children with an experience that they will treasure forever and that will shape who they are as people – the confidence they’ll  have and the many things they’ll be able to accomplish throughout their lives."  … Kathy Evans

Situated on 30 acres in South Easton, Maplewood offers outstanding indoor and outdoor activities. Our main buildings are air-conditioned and provide space for a regulation-size gymnasium with two basketball courts, a fully equipped gymnastics area, a state-of-the art rock climbing and ropes course, studios for arts & crafts, dance, martial arts, drama, music, and more. Our other camp buildings have bunks for changing and recreational halls that are ideal for indoor games and rainy day activities.

Our outdoor facilities include two Olympic-size pools, five-acre pond, regulation size basketball court, soccer field, playing fields, volleyball courts, archery range, garden, outdoor performing stage, and eighteen-hole miniature golf course. There is a pavilion for eating lunch and an abundance of wooded shady areas. Maplewood is a handicap-accessible facility.

Campers bring their lunches while fruit punch and other refreshments are provided. Lunches are refrigerated. A snack of ice cream or some other special treat is provided each afternoon.

Maplewood has earned an outstanding reputation for its preschool and kindergarten programs. These programs are led by nurturing teachers and counselors who have expertise working with 4 and 5 year olds.

Supervision & Safety:  Our greatest asset is our enthusiastic, experienced staff.  We carefully select counselors and activity specialists based on their maturity, creativity, sensitivity, and experience with children.  Many of our staff members are teachers and former campers and counselor
s who return year after year with the goal of creating an environment where every child thrives.

Highly qualified teachers and their assistants lead special
ty activities. They work closely with the group counselors in order to offer the campers individual attention. Our specialists work with children in swimming, gymnastics, dance, arts & crafts, martial arts, drama, music, puppetry, magic, photography, archery, and nature.
